Coastal Impressions: A Photographic Journey along Alaska’s Gulf Coast, opens November 2nd at the Alaska State Museum. Coastal Impressions features aerial imagery of Alaska’s diverse, dynamic, and often rugged and remote coastline. This stunning exhibit will be showing at the Alaska State Museum November 2, 2012-January 12, 2013.
The photographs displayed in Coastal Impressions were captured during the Alaska ShoreZone coastal habitat mapping project. Other aspects of the project include web-based and GIS datasets for marine scientists, GIS specialists, coastal managers, oil spill response organizations, and other users. This exhibit was developed in partnership with the Cook Inlet RCAC, NOAA, and the Alaska ShoreZone Partners. For more information, visit the Alaska State Museum website.
